POP QUIZ

Today we went over the answers from the video on Global Health.  Then, out of nowhere Mr. Schick gives us a pop quiz which I nailed.  I think I got 100% on it but besides that I am so excited for Thanksgiving break.  I am s thankful for this next week or so off of school 5 day weekend coming my way.  Also, very excited for Thanksgiving it is going to be great all of my Grandparents are coming over, some of my cousins, and Aunts and Uncles.  I can't wait my grandmother on my Dad's side is making her Pineapple ham with Mac and cheese and my grandmother on my Mom's side is making the greek lasagna called Pastichio.  It is so good that with my Mom's turkey and stuffing sounds delicious.  I hope you have a great Thanksgiving Mr. Schick I know I will.  Have a good one.

Snow Maybe

Today was a sort of stressful day My English class was watching and taking notes of presentations.  It was a lot of notes and then I had to think of what I was doing after school and it is looking like I will not be home until 8:30-9:00 tonight.  It is going to be rough tonight considering I will be going to sleep so late.  I had a late night last night and I'm just tired today and I definitely will be exhausted tomorrow. So I hope I get some sleep tonight and wake up energized tomorrow.  Well we got the test back and I got 100 I am so proud of myself I knew I would have done good.  The snow is coming I hope we have off Thursday and maybe something Friday it would be so good.  Hopefully,  everyone is safe over this weekend with the snow.  Anyways time to go. Shadow Number 8

Today I had a shadow named Dylan Young.  He is into wrestling and Human Geo was his favorite class of the day (I Asked Him).  So today we started our new AP unit.  We leaned about Population Density and the 3 different types.  Arithmetic, Physiological, Agricultural.  All these were factors in population density not only currently but in the past and most likely in the future.  Luckily we are back to maps and putting notes down I don't like taking tests.  Not most people do but I like our normal classes and discussions + Debates we have in class.  we should have one class dedicated to just debating on real world problems that would be a lot of fun.  We should have 2 teams one day to prepare than the next to actually debate and get the results for who won the debate.  Hopefully you take this idea up and we can do it but for now I gotta go. Test day

Today we took the test on the world and population.  I personally thought the test as very easy I finished the Facebook section in 5 minutes.  Also,  Funny question on the bonus section.  You can't migrate out of the world so there can't be a net migration rate.  My favorite part of the test was the cartoons on the back mine was about Africa.  So it was about Africa in 3071 and the population is 345,000,000,000 and aliens start dropping missiles on the continent.  The population slowly declines but they aren't being killed they are all being taken to this special new place to start a new life but the story won't reveal that it is secret.  the moral is that over-population can ruin country so the new place made sure the TFR stayed at 2.1 for the entire span of life they will have.  Anyways I believe I did very good on the test and I can't wait to get my grade. World Fact Book Assignment

The world fact book is a very interesting site.

• I learned that Greece is 69th overall in the world in airports.  They only have 77 airports which is crazy.  
• The United States is #1 on the list with more than 13,000 airports.  That is a lot of airports it shows how much we rely on Airplanes for our travels
• You would have thought Greece's population would be going up right well its wrong Greece's TFR is 1.43.  Which means it is decreasing in population because it is less than 2.41. 
• 12,937,106 people in Greece are subscribed to cell phone services.  Their population is 10,768,477, wait that doesn't make sense because there is more cell phone subscribers than there are people in the country.  That is why I really like this website it really does show you the inside scoop and interesting things on countries.
• China only has 507 air ports compared to the USA's 13,513 airports.  The USA has about 27 times more airports than China.

The Website is a great resource tool for a research project maybe we will do one in the future only using this website and doing
